Book Description

CONTEMPORARY ORTHODONTICS follows a logical progression. Orthodontic concepts, which all students and dentists need to know, are covered in the early sections of the book. Advanced concepts and comprehensive treatment techniques are featured later. The organization and presentation of material follow curriculum guidelines devised by the American Association of Dental Schools. Another important benefit of this text's organization is that it makes the book usable throughout the dental curriculum: Chapters 1-12 are appropriate for several courses taught in the first two years of dental school. Chapters 13-21 apply to courses in the third and fourth years. This will become increasingly important as AADS institutes new recommendations for integrating basic dental science content throughout the curriculum.
